All of these hybrids have been around for a while, but these 6 Yellow Cymbidium Orchid Hybrids are tried and tested, widely available and still popular today. Another article to follow will highlight new breeding and up to date recent releases to modernise your collection.
Cym. Coraki Glowing
Registered in 2016 this Cym is a cross between Cym. Luna Advent × Cym. Glowing Sands
A very worthy addition to brighten up your collection. This one is a more recent release and already used as a parent in further breeding.

Cym. Enzan Summer
Registered in 1993, this Cym is a cross between Cym. Golden Elf × Cym. Lovely Bunny.
This pure colour Cym has been very popular over the years and again there are several cultivars out there worthy of a spot in your collection. This one is ‘Ben’

Cym. Marilyn Thomas
Registered in 2006 this Cym is a cross between Cym. Vibrant Bliss × Cym. Pharaoh’s Star.
Marilyn Thomas has a few standout cultivars so you are pretty much assured of beautiful yellow’s! Pictured here is Marilyn Thomas ‘WD’.

Cym. Lunakira ‘Gleam’
Registered in 1997, this Cym is a cross between Cym. Coraki × Cym. Lunara.
Another very widely distributed plant with very clean bright flowers, that puts on a great show. Good enough to have been used quite a number of times in further breeding.

Cym. Tracey Reddaway
Registered in 1989 this Cym is a cross between Cym. Trigo Royale × Cym. Coraki.
This one is a little older, however is the parent of an extensive number of progeny.
Standout cultivars include ‘Geyserland’, ‘Sungold’, ‘Sunkist’ and ‘Sunrise’.

Cym. Amber Wall
Registered in 2004 this Cym is a cross between Cym. Lunar Wall × Cym. Tony McCartney.
Another bright and popular yellow that has been a parent in further breeding over the last 15 years.
