This week’s Orchid of the Week is Cym. Fremantle, a striking and relatively new offering from Springfield Orchids. Springfield Orchids have brought us some wonderful Cymbidiums over the years, and the offerings continue!
Lovely dainty red lip markings top off a very shapely flower here. Fremantle will certainly stand out amongst your other plants, and it’s one I also have in my collection.

Looking back at the original species ancestors of this plant, using Orchid Roots, Cym. insigne, and Cym. lowianum are the major contributors present in the distant background with Cym. hookerianum being the third largest contributor.
